Hi All ... this from Norway... lets hope she can be recovered ;-)
regards
Dave
The wreckage of Northrop N-3PB - C/N 323 has
been discovered inside the fjord of Skjeraf?rdur on Iceland. The
airplane crashed when trying an emergency landing 24.07.42.
So far the coastguard on Iceland have been on the spot and it is said
that the airplane is upside down on the bottom in a fairly good
condition.Airplane belonged to 333 (Norwegian) Squadron based on Iceland
in the WW2.
There is only one N-3PB on display in the world and that one is
displayed inside the museum of Gardermoen near Oslo. This one was found
in a river, also in Iceland.
