Hi all,

Last saturday I was shown around the Stirling cockpit project by Peter van Gelderen. Over a period of some years he has made a full size cockpitsection using a lot of original parts and instruments. It is really breathtaking to be able to see where the brave airmen sat at night.

Here is the website:

I can tell you that when I got home my hands itched to work on my own Halifax project. At the moment the following projects have/are taking place:

The abovementioned Stirling cockpit, my own Halifax cockpit, there is a half Lancaster cockpit, another Lancaster cockpit project. This one will be built according to full AVRO specifications and will be a masterpiece when completed. Apart from that there is also a Spitfire cockpit mounted on a trailer so that it can be taken to airshows. And undoubtedly there must be many other projects going on judging by the number of people nosing in their Pilot's Notes during aerojumbles (mostly Spitfires).
