Sorry Richard,

Brought this to the front, because the forum is getting posted to so fast, I don't know how far back people are looking! Maybe Scott could set up one of these "Digest" e-mail thingies?

This post was in response to "Mick the Merciless'" original post "Who's holding out?" In other words, people who know where a warbird is, but won't tell the forum.....

Now, I told u lot about a Lancaster in a Tirolian Lake. Subsequent to that, I've now been told about a Mustang, and substantial B24 bits in the same area, details to follow.

Anyway, here's Richards post.......

O.K. get ready for this 'cos I have my dream secret and here it is....
There is a tiny little aircraft known as a Blenheim,it is a Mark four with all its equipment sat waiting to be rescued.
It is on a flat gravel plain,on its undercarraige, and the only reason it is there is ran out of fuel, and it is miles from nowhere. It needs cowling panels some perspex and fabric on the control surfaces.

I'm not saying exactly where it is, but here's a big hint:to get some idea of what condition it would be in and conditions in the area we read the reports on sample pieces taken by the Americans from "Lady Be Good".

In the same general area there is rumored to be a B-17 C, the rumors are strong but I have yet to confirm this one.

I keep finding references to a Lancaster on the Russian/Chinese border at a technical school, and there is DEFINITELY a Lanc crash just outside Moscow

The best thing I have come across in plain sight is an Arado Ar 196b in water(salt, unfortunately)wrapped in fishing nets. This can be found in the book "a diving guide to Mediterranean wrecks" I think it was wrote by Kurt Amsler.

I did get a rumour about three or more crated P-40s on an airstrip in New Zealand. They dug a hole the size of the crates, put them in and filled over them.I know they are not under a runway now,I just can't pin down the airstrip.Somebody mentioned them on barnstormers a couple of years ago.

Last but not least is a letter to my father from someone saying they had located several Beauforts in the Med,and a Lanc in a freshwater Fjord in Norway.

Okay thats me done ,Who's next?

Richard
