I certainly would if I'm in the neighbourhood Richard,

I have all the books about the high ground wrecks, Snowdonia, Peak District etc. which makes fascinating reading.

It never ceases to amaze me what is still up there. This is a treasure trove for restoration project. If parts cannot be used they can at least serve as patterns. So far the FAA museum's Albacore was reconstructed from recoverd components from Scotland (Balmoral estate I think) and Norway. The Barracuda projects will incorporate substantial components from crash sites etc.

You only have to look at what Elliott has already recovered from the Scottish highlands, as well as 57Rescue's Halifax discoveries which have helped the rebuilds of two Hallies.

The photographs I saw on this site has enough parts to rebuild at least a Wellington and helping the Stirling Project a long way.

Richard, if there are so much substantial wrecks almost in your backyard, why go to Sweden for a Lancaster wreck?

Cees
(wondering if there are any high ground wrecks in the Dutch mountains)
