The only thing positive in their decision to sent a complete cockpitsection to Canada other than to help similar projects in the UK is that the Canadian example is now an almost complete representation of a Hampden.
Now if only they could fit the correct type of engines (if available) and the correct propellers, paint it in a nice camouflage and hey presto!
On the other hand it is good to see that parts of extinct aircraft (Albemarle, Hawker Fury) are being passed on to other groups/individuals so that they can do something useful with it.
Still leaves the question why they don't give the substantial Stirling sections (ex-Mickle Fell) to the Stirling Project for instance.
Why oh why should it take decades before something happens, while there are so many willing people/groups around. They did it with the Tempest II, the Sptifire I and the Spitfire Vb.
