You might be right, but Tallichet's P-38 was flying (or perhaps I should say flyable) at the time of its purchase. The items being sought after seem to be of a little too broad range to be needed for this restoration.... however, maybe there is more than one airframe being worked on. I had heard that the former Bruce Pruett P-38 (the one Jeff Ethell was killed in) was being restored to static (either for, or on behalf of the P-38 Association). This aircraft would need a lot of cockpit items, since the cockpit was pretty much destroyed in the crash. At any rate, who knows, it is all conjecture after all (but thought provoking none the less).
