Orange, CA? Area code 425 is Seattle! My guess is they are collecting parts for restoration of Fighter Heritage Collection's (Paul Allen's) recently acquired P-38 (from Dave Tallichet I think). FHC recently purchased a couple of NOS P-38 QEC's from a local Southern CA collector. This wouldn't be the first airworthy aircraft that FHC has began a restoration on recently...

I wouldn't jump to conclusions on the PNG P-38's being in Southern CA just yet.
