Yes, maybe a bit more entrepreneurial spirit is needed (some people would say that is am understatement!) - Duxford seem to have a solid group of volunteers - strange though, some of them are fantastically qualified and very experienced restorers on their own right, but they are not allowed to do anything more than remove paint from the a/c! (this is what one of them told me anyway - and he had been helping them out for years).
Duxford seem to get excellent results quickly - but I'm not sure if they have ever tackled anything as ambitious as the Hampden which really is just a pile of scrap. Maybe their Hurri?
IMHO Hendons biggest problems are managerial ones...!
