Bf 110 off Jersey?

I tried to post this on the VA forum the night it went down...but for some odd reason it wouldn't come up???

Anyway, does anyone remember an episode of the Jersey based police detective series "Bergerac" back in the late 80s where there was a story line about the discovery of a German plane in the sea with the pilot still in it?

Divers went down to it and as far as I am concerned.......

The "plane" looked VERY much like a VERY genuine sunken Bf110....and VERY intact and VERY uncorroded looking.

I can't imagine for one minute that they would build a mock-up Bf110 for the programme when "any old aeroplane with Swastikas and Iron Crosses on it and chucked in the murky sea" would do for the vast majority of the audience.

Anyone know anything?
