Afraid not - holding out for Omaka 2003.
If the markings are positioned where you say, then I guess it rules out gas detection. (Unless the idea was to check for contamination after return when the parachute etc would be out, but that doesn't make all that much sense). I've always wondered how the gas detection wing patch was supposed to be used, but have never seen a full account of it.
