Just for the record dad flew as a wirelessop, airgunner,navigator in a27-99 at one stage from memory. might have to check his log books. I don't think he ever flew in a serial as high as a27-247 though.
He flew with 12 squadron starting in Darwin and from there through Merauke till shortly after re-equipping with liberators.
Is the one at Albany the one being restored for the RAAFA museum at Bull's creek? According to my brother the one for Bull's Creek is almost finished. Might be the "buried" remains you mentioned, hopefully.
