The remains of Walter Kents plane are still there, but are
barely recognizable. It was not found until the mid 1960's. There is a memorial on the site and
a plaque. For full photos of the site, get the book "Warplanes to Alaska" or theres is another called
Warbirds along the Alaska highway. Salvage laws in the Yukon and NWT have been tightened. Anything left longer than 30 years is the property of the Government, and in British Columbia its anything longer than 2 years. Unlikely that any
more salvage rights will be granted, unless its headed to a museum in the Yukon and NWT. You should be able to see previews of each book I mentioned on the Net...
