: Tracey, The P-38's were not CAF. I flew one 38 that was owned by John Stokes at the time, now the Champlin 38, and the other 38 that was flown by Tallman and Dick Martin was owned by a John Diehl. That 38 later crashed and killed the owner. As for Corsair pilots you have most of them correct. We also flew with Jim Gavin and Jim Maloney. Jim Gavin was the aerial director for the show and was in charge of the flying. I don't remember a Robert Schneider. We flew for 2 seasons. We used 8 different Corsairs, the ones listed earlier were the most frequently used, 2 different DC-3's one of the DC3's we used is the Delta Airlines restored machine, a T-28, 3 B-25's, 2 P-51's, an F6F, an L-5 and a Duck. I may have missed a few.

: The 'Zeros', 'Kates', and 'Vals' were supplied by the CAF
: ( from their Tora Tora Tora group ).

: The credits on that particular episode again make referenc

: t in the meantime.
:
: Corsair pilots who participated in the filming included St
: eve Hinton, Tom Friedkin, John Schafhausen, Tom Mooney, Gl
: enn Riley and Frank Tallman.
:
: Other pilots in the series ( flying various types ) were T
: ed Janczerick, Bill Yoak, Mack Sterling, Fred Elsberry, Cl
: ay Lacy and Art Scholl.
: I think that Robert Schneider also participated.
