NASM spent quite a bit of effort a while back replacing the rotten wooden parts of the tailplane / rudder , and it was during this time I think that the wk.nr. was confirmed when someone moved some radio equipment in the cockpit . The aircraft was almost certainly flown by Walter Loos and has kills to her credit ..... unthinkable that they would scrap her ... I think you need to be more worried about the likes of the Go229 which is almost completely wooden . Good thing about the move to Dulles is that many of these unique machines will get at least some attention [ like the He129 ]
