I know you said a *book* but you may not know that some of these have been the subject of magazine articles. I know that I read about the recovery of the Haydon-Baillie Spitfires from India in Aeroplane Monthly many years ago. I'm fairly sure I read also about W1048 (probably also in Aeroplane), and I know that I've read about NA337's recovery - probably in Flypast. I'm sure that I've read about the Battle - in Aeroplane? But again, quite a long time ago.
