I agree,

If there would be a book about these stories how wrecks were found and identified and finally restored through a lot of blood, sweat and tears then there would be a great interest for it.

Dare I suggest some stories that would be very usable for such a book.

-The recovery of Halifax W1048 and NA337
-The recovery of the Indian Spitfires (all of them)
-The recovery of the RAFM Hampden from Russia
-The Jim Pearce story about the many Russian finds
-The recovery of the many Bolingbrokes and Hurricanes from Canada
-The recovery of the RAFM Fairey Battle
-The recovery of both A-20's from New Guinea
-The recovery of David Tallichet's Marauders from Million Dollar Valley.

Off course there are books about the restoration of CWH's Lanc, the Blenheim (two), Black Six, as well as a Dutch book about the RNethAF recoveries during the sixties and early seventies. These books have been read many times and never bore me.

Come on, start writing lads!

Cees
