I spoke with a renound aircraft collector many years ago who hinted at the possible existance of a single surviving Buffalo being kept in secret in the United States. This was well before the well known recovery of the Buffalo we all know about. The topic came up in the midst of Corsair talk and was totally unsolicited. I've been waiting to see if such a plane would surface. No doubt if the rumor was based on fact, this would have to be the plane. I can't wait to see if we get to add some totally new planes to the register :) A stock, unmodified P-38 and P-40 would make for some great study material!
