By coincidence I just saw the movie again last night. I noticed that the Spitfire that Rafe was supposedly flying (NH904/N114BP) in that scene actually belongs to the Palm Springs Air Museum (Bob Pond) where it can been seen on display. At least the markings were the same as the markings on the Spitfire of which I obtained a photo back in January 2001.
Others used in the film were were...
BM597/G-MKVB
EP120/G-LFVB
What other Spitfires were used in the filming?
Regards,
Mike
