I know W.Nr.1190 "White 4 + -" of 4./JG26 (Uffz. Horst Perez, downed 30 Sept.1940) did a North American tour, and now sits splendidly restored in completely inaccurate colors at Duxford...there's another quite famous one which was coded either white 9 or white 6 on the cowling (JG27, maybe?) that went arse over tip in Hyde Park and as I recall, it was salvaged and put on display. Trouble is, I can see the entire series of pics in my mind, but I'll be damned if I can find which book they're in to give you further details (I've gone through ten already without success...amazing, I always thought that was an "overpublished" photo, I guess not!). There was also "white 1", W.Nr. 1304, but that was sent over fully airworthy and written off at Wright Field so it doesn't really count. I'll be very interested to hear more on this one! :)
