In addition to Band of Brothers, HBO also broadcast, We Stand Alone Together, the men of Easy Company. If you have the chance, I recommend this as well.
I agree with Scott, about not wanting to parachute, especially with white parachutes, at night. I thought that part of the series was the most realistic, and disturbing. It was very well done. Just my two cents worth.
