Thanks Simon, picked up both those bits, now I'm working on translations, of what i picked up in french
It appears the French dumped their T-bolts there, and the Spads were delivered to that airfield.
The RAF connection is good, in as much as he describes cannibalising Spits, and the Typhoon reference is intriging, especially as Typhoon King Dave, was chasing Middle eastern ones down
I'm more interested, in the story of it being used as a USAAF base air depot and dump, after the war. :0)
