Thank you Tony.
There was a monument dedicated at the memorial service at the lake. Embedded in the top of it is a tip of one of the two remaining propellers. My uncle's memory has been honored, and we are very very grateful.
My concern is that the pieces which remain, will not receive the respect, I feel they deserve. My ultimate desire is for Dean's serial # to fly again, and I know this is very unlikely.
As I said before, I do not begrudge Mr. Wisler the parts he received, he was responsible for the fly over, by Mr. Weeks. I just wish he would have used better judgement in their "merchandising". There is something almost ghoulish in selling the scattered remains of something someone died in, on ebay! I know I am too close to this to be objective.
Your suggestion concerning Mr. Weeks is an interesting one, I had not previously considered. I think I will try to contact him. I am very sentimental about symbolic gestures, and that would be an excellant one. I took a very small piece of the plane to Dean's grave, and buried it there. I don't think I need to elaborate on the symbolism of that. Thank you for your ideas, I do appreciate them.
