Sadly there are folk out there that sell to the highest bidder :-(
In the UK there are a number of people trying very hard to get rich quick by illegally digging up crashed aircraft, mis labelling the parts as "Genuine Battle of Britain..." and then offering said item for sale.
We have had a number of quite legitimate 'surplus to requirement' parts recovered from Halifax sites, and rather than sell them to raise funds, we prefer to give the parts away to good homes which guarentee us that the parts will not find their way onto the open market at a later date.
In the UK, we have the Protection of Military Remains Act, a law which is designed to offer some protection to the crash sites, which we strictly adhere to.
That is the least we can do as an organisation & selling for personal gain is not something we can condone :-(
Hope this might show that we ain't all bad out there.
Best wishes
Ian
