Or a kiddies playground.....or a new health centre......or a community mini-bus to take the oldies and the young-uns on trips to the seaside......or anything, doesn't have to be mega-expensive......

You never know, they might be accomodating if they get something useful in return, rather than a group of divers just turning up one day and ripping out the aircraft for free, and the locals get f-all in return.....the locals have a valuable resource in both cases, which they may or may not legally own, but they probably think they do anyway which is more important..........and it is very likely that no-one has ever offered them something in return for taking their "property" away........simple stuff really if the recoverer is not a greedy b*****d...........or is it only me and Tony that think of things like that ?

This approach to business has actually worked in several cases already where collectors/recoverers have wanted an old aero........and of course we all know the real reason why places like PNG have clamped down on recoveries, and they would rather let the stuff rot or scrap it.......it's because too many greedy gringos from the west have ripped the locals off once too often......these people are not as stupid as westerners think they are, at the end of the day they just want treating with respect, and given a fair deal.
