: Great news.
:
: A stunning collection.
:
: Now going public.
:
: Site's a bit buggy, but not bad - I guess they'll learn.
:
: So why lie?
: "The Flying Heritage Collection's painstaking process of r
: estoring its aircraft sets them apart from all other aviat
: ion artifacts, each restored to a level of authenticity ne
: ver attempted before."
: Bull. I can think of 1/2 doz places which achieve the hig
: hest standard, from Historic Flying in the UK, Kermit Week
: s, the Shuttleworth Collection, Hawker Restorations, Skysp
: ort etc, etc. And no, FHC isn't 'better' - as good as, I'l
: l grant, but 'better' is unworthy bull.
:
: Rant over.

Actually, I believe that FHC is going farther than anyone else in their authenticity. From what I understand they are using cotton the control surfaces, have designed a new type of wire that is new wire covered with the fabric as in the war and they will not accept any "restored" radio gear, etc, it has to be NOS. I am not aware of any of the above you list that are going to that extreme. If I am incorrect, please let me know.
