Speaking of the Pax river dump, there was a Arado 234 in there, and also the Bell XFL-1 Aerobonita (the tail dragger Navy variant of the P-39 Aeracobra). Rob I believe you are right in that parts of these aircraft stick out of the mud from time to time.

PS.The Freeman Field digs yielded a lot of badly damaged and corroded parts. They were very interesting though. Lots of German propellers, and the tail section of a Fw-190 being some of the parts I saw photographs of.
