: Hi all,
:
: In our museum we have a fourbladed Hamilton Standard prope
: ller which came from the North Sea. The blades are round t
: ipped and fitted with rubber cuffs as used on the Mustangs
: with Merlin engines. The strange thing is that it must ha
: ve been fitted to a radial engine. My only suggestion woul
: d be that it came from a P-47, but did they used cuffs on
: the blades?
:
: Does anyone else have any suggestion of the type it could
: have come from?

Cees,
some time ago I made a digital picture of this one and showed it to Martin Kyburz (SwissMustangs). He was convinced it's a P-51 prop....
