P-47 Hamilton Standard prop with cuffs?

Hi all,
In our museum we have a fourbladed Hamilton Standard propeller which came from the North Sea. The blades are round tipped and fitted with rubber cuffs as used on the Mustangs with Merlin engines. The strange thing is that it must have been fitted to a radial engine. My only suggestion would be that it came from a P-47, but did they used cuffs on the blades?
Does anyone else have any suggestion of the type it could have come from?
Cees
