OK the A-4 at Hobby you mention was part of the Combat Jets Flight Museum. They owned the A-4, a CF-104, 2 F-86s, Vampire, Mig-21, Mig-15, Hawker Hunter, and a T-33. They were owned by Jim Robinson and were donated to the EAA. The Hunter and T-33 are for sale with Courtesy and the Starfighter has been sold too and is flying again.
The other A-4 you mention is indeed the Aussie painted one that crashed and is going to become a static at Kalamazoo. They had an engine surge on landing which resulted in coming in hot and things just got ugly from there.
