That is my recollection also.
The aircraft was basically stranded at Hamilton following the resolution of a technical problem that was going to cost quite a bit of money.
Interesting about the Seafire XV prop. I did not know that but I havee just looked at the last photos - it sure has.
To complete the file on this machine I am still looking for a shot post the fire of the 'melt'if anybody can point me in the right direction. At this time - not ghoulish just history.
AD540 'Blue Peter' has move to the South of England (to a very private person) and is being worked on and parts accumulated for a potential flyer for the future.
