Giving something back...

Looking at the replies to Jack Cook's post below, I'm heartened to see the number of people who, even if they aren't directly involved in aviation as plane owners, pilots, or wrench turners, still do their part to help "keep 'em flying" (to borrow the WOA phrase).
I'm thinking of the Erics who help load people into backseats for barnstorming rides, or the Scotts who are willing their volunteer their time to museums. They get to experience great things and meet great people, but more importantly they contribute to the vitality of the warbird, vintage, and preservation movements in the ways they can.
My point? If anybody reading this doesn't already, go out and do something to support these forms of aviation we enjoy so much. If you enjoy going to airshows or museums, don't limit yourself to being an onlooker. Volunteer at your local airshow or fly-in. Become a member of a museum and help with some of its projects. Join your local chapter of EAA Warbirds (or a similar organization) and take part in its activities. Find ways you can be a participant in the warbird movement instead of a spectator. Just as important, look for ways you can help others enjoy aviation as much as you do. Like the subject line says, give something back in payment for all the pleasure you've been given.
This isn't poetic, but I hope it gets my point across. And for the AIRICs, Scotts, and B Darnells out there: good show, guys!
