Just looked up FW125 in the Air-Britain FA100-FZ999 serial register and this Mitchell III is listed as No.180 Sqdn., shot down by flak, Bologne, 9.9.44.
FW165 fits better: No.45 Group, Spun into ground on ferry flight 2m NW of Reykjavik, 18.12.43.
No.45 Group was previously called Ferry Command and was an RAF unit - thus FW165 was assigned to the RAF at the time othe accident.
