Hey guys, there is something here that a lot of you are missing. That is the fact that there were 8 different MILLIE G's. The first four were P-38s, but when the group changed over to P-51s, Major Giller had four different mustangs assigned to him over a period of time. They were 44-14985,
44-15701, 44-72123 and 44-63204. I'm not sure what order they came in. So, the one on the pole with the FAD is one of them, and the North Dakota MILLIE G is another one.
With all the "fiddling" of serial numbers that occured with FAD and Cavalier refurbished aircraft, it is amazing that we can get any kind of a handle on "what" is really "what".
