Rob--

: Is that thing still sitting outside like that?

I believe so, yes...along with a P-47N, P-63, P-51H...and that's just the prop fighters. For photography it's just grand: but I'd trade my '92 pix for closeups in a dim hangar any day of the week if it meant this stuff was under cover. Just about enough to make one weep.

I can just
: imagine what immaculate plans they might have in store fo
: r the ex-CAF bird should they be so shrewd as to actually
: pursue its repossession.

This had been my immediate thought on hearing about that. Then someone mentioned "Fifi" in the same context...Yeowch!

How stimulating it would be to s
: ee two-thirds of the world's surviving F-82 population gut
: ted and on permanent display in an open field (can you sme
: ll the sarchasm?) ;D

Sarcasm is underrated! :-) Actually it'd only be half (four-eighths?) the F-82 count: Lackland; CAF; Dayton; C&P (ex-Polar/Wizzard/Walter Soplata). Still, geez, what an awful thought, eh.
