Talking about the potential to raise donations. When I visited Oshkosh in 2000 there were severel (non-EAA) aircraft opened up for the public so that people could have a look inside. I took a look inside the Connie, the CAFs Ju-52 and a C-123. Those wishing to have a look were asked for a donation. As far as I could see quitte a number of visitors grabbed the opportunity and were quitte happy to spend a few bucks. Could this work for you?
