Tulio et al--
Sadly of course most of mine in this vein have been seen while I was asleep (see Tony's thread of a while back)...! :-)
Did stumble across two Beech 18s in a backyard in Murillo, Ontario (outside Thunder Bay) in the winter of (iirc) 1986. It was evening and there was a stand of trees between the road and the yard; nevertheless I somehow noticed airplanes faintly visible from my uncle's car and of course we had to stop! Those Beeches are long gone now and I have always wondered where they went. I did surreptitiously take a few pix.
Another one, not mine though: out west someone took note of the unusual structure of a temporary dam across a small creek; it turned out to be most of a Fairey Battle wing! Was recovered for a museum collection afterward.
Cheers
S.
