No it is not a Zalesky machine .... all of the G models he had went to Australia . The F-4 in the photo is 10132 that was 'loaned ' by the Safonovo Museum in a deal that was supposed to see the machine properly restored and diplayed in the west for 5 years , after which it would be returned to Russia. Seems that those who organized the deal decided it would be better to sell the aircraft to the U.K. where she was restored and exchanged in a complicated deal beetween the U.K. , U.S. and Canada .
she is at present the most historic of the surviving Luftwaffe machines .. photos recently dicovered show this aircraft marked with some 40 kills on the rudder .. hopefully once details are deciphered they rudder will be painted to reflect this...
The Museum Curator was overly trusting and the same thing happened to the 'good' P-40K shown in the photos..... it is now with Tom Wilson in the U.S. ! The Safonovo museum still seeks the return of the aircraft ;-0
