if the acft is a flyer right now he has a job infron of him. if it's a project then it's not so bad. all he should have to do is get the manual for the SNJ5 and pull the appropriate part numbers for the electrical parts and put them in. the wiring is no good and should be chected as the amperage changes (ie the wire gage pe distance run) between the two. when i did mine it was'nt a factor as i tore what wiring remained out and tossed it away then designed a new modern 12 volt system with the alt and got it approved and then built it up myself. drew up the new cad electrical system and submitted it with the 337. works fine and any electrition can read the drawings and work on it..he can go the other way if he wants (ie 12 to 24)but the cost is going to add up when considering all the componants that will have to be changed...starter, gen, voltage reg or gen controle pnl, all the lights big and small, the horn, both relays, battery try, radios and intercomm if they are the original or old style. why change when you can jump from most cars in a pinch????
