I got this link from the Flypast site
http://www.historicaircraftcollection.ltd.uk/hac_restorations.html
2004 could be an interesting year!
The bit I was wondering is:
Hawker Hind, L7181
"During the recovery process from Afghanistan, all the data plates were removed from the aircraft for safekeeping by a member of the recovery team. After some hunting the original data plate has now been reunited with the aircraft, which confirmed its identity as L7181"
Isn't either the RAF Museum or Shuttleworth one 'UNKNOWN' I wonder if the same source can provide the ID that was removed from that one now??
Anyway is anyone here best buddies with Guy Black to ask him?
And on that subject, was anyone here on the Duxford Safety Course and heard him speak. I saw the snippet in this months AM and I was wondering if anyone can add to last line....
'Guy had his audience spellbound as he gave an insight into some of the wonderful rare aircraft he has found around the world (WITH SOME REAL GEMS IN THE OFFERING)'
Thanks
Paul
