In September someone in the Air Britain Information Exchange posted this..
"The Portuguese "Museu do Ar" acquired a Westland Lysander that will be refurbished in due time. Does anybody know possible sources for technical documentation on the "Lizzie"
I know that the Portguese operated 8 Lizzies during the 1940's/1950s so it would be appropiate. I asked for more info but none was volunteered.. There are a couple of current mysteries in the Lissie world..
a) What was the location/source of the new Sabena airframe.
b) What happened to the crashed Sabena one, which was good enough for a static rebuild
c) What happened to the Manitoba one?
d) Which one is in Portugal?
Some of these aircraft must be linked to the above posting and the one for sale in Germany!
