Tony--

Keep 'em coming...your REM-sleep "movies" are a scream!

And no, you're not the only one who has such daft dreams. I can think of two, though not recent:

1. Stopped at a small white house off Hamilton-to-Guelph Hwy#6; noticed some Tiger Moth bits on the lawn and a vintage sprint car lying Italian-Job-Mini fashion on a set of concrete steps in the driveway...Was intrigued, so walked round behind the house--to find six decrepit but complete P-47s crammed into the back yard. Last thing I remembered was thinking I must get to a telephone...(In the real world there actually is an aircraft graveyard on Hwy#6--but it's mainly modern lightplane parts, the only Warbird being a stripped-out Harvard).

2. The Crawford Museum had sold the ex-Soplata F2G Corsair back to Cook Cleland, who planned to race it at Reno. In the dream I saw it, parked in the mud, very ratty-looking...and with some thoroughly unusual mods done to it: Mr Cleland had clipped the wings by about a third (in the MIDDLE of each wing--the standard tips were still in place), installed an eight-bladed contraprop (which was rusty)...and up top he had mounted (on rusty steel tube frames) a kind of Hillson "slip-wing" made of spare F4U wing panels! (The latter, I have to assume, would be for additional lift on takeoff and would've been jettisoned: but then we're in the world where Daimlers have kitchen-cupboard dashboards and Adolf Galland peddles used Halifaxes...so I guess anything goes...) :-)

Cheers and keep the weirdness coming!

S.
