I believe that currently if you look far enough and wide enough you can solve your engine problem. Sure there is a new manufacture market for 'this camshaft' or 'that piston' but we are way off it being finacially viable to scratch build any of the popular Warbird engines. More likely is that historic and 'interesting' engines will surface in good condition, in some corner of the globe, and an airframe will be constructed from low base material to slot behind it or them.
