Don't know why the mueum would have any interest in running a jet. The operating costs are staggering and there is no way to come close to recovering even the insurance costs at airshows. And I wouldn't expect to see any remote operation either. Too costly, and no need. While it is definetly more of a pain to operate out of Hamilton these days, I fail to see what reason there could possibly be for a remote base. As for the HIAS, CWH got out of the airshow business long before the expansion at the airport. The reason was that overall, you loose too much money producing an airshow. While it is true that there are fewer aircraft flying these days at CWH then in the past, the reality is that it takes a lot of money to maintain and operate old airplanes. Any sugar daddies out there please send large checks!
