That day (Sept. 24, 1988) is still my favorite aviation memory, and I still feel a bit of that wonderful day every time I see the Lanc fly. I'm relatively local, and I see it fairly often, but it's a thrill that just doesn't go away. I seem to recall that the police utimately had to close the roads into the airport after 20,000 people showed up...

I never thought about the 'zenith' of CWH, but I guess you're right. It's sad to see what's happened in the intervening 15 years.
