Excellent point John!

In our group, we try to fly as professional as we can. We do very little airbatics, and when we do we do it above 5 000', to have room to deal with an emergency, wether a benign or a critical one.

When I take-off, I climb as fast as I can, but in the summer, I sometime have to lower the nose to accelerate until I go fast enough to be able to have a climb rate worthy of that name.

I just got a parachute overhauled for me, and I'm looking forward to buy a helmet and boots for when I go flying. We often do formations, but it's always loose (20-30 feet between the aircrafts) and we have a good procedure for landing as such.

I won't name anyone, but I know a guy who acts like you say (testoterone wise). The worst part is that he doesn't own an aircraft and does so with one belonging to a friend. I cannot say that I'm comfortable with the way he flies, but I do reckon he's a very good pilot, he flies Challengers.

Oh well. We'll continue to be careful with our trainers!

Cheers,

Olivier
