All the XIX's at BBMF have modified '58's fitted. These were done for the 3 BBMF XIX's, the Rolls Spit, and the RNHF Firefly. Rolls made a certain number for service use only, and it was very expensive.
The XIX at Chino has a standard 58 fitted with contra props.
All the XIV's and XVIII's to come out of Historic Flying have modified 60 series engines, with 58 series heads and banks. So does TFC's aeroplane.
I think that leaves us with two XIV's in the states - I believe that the Museum of Flying aeroplane has the modified heads and banks, but the Bob Pond aeroplane may have original 60 series parts.
There are a fair few Shack engines still around. Some have gone into Tractor pulling. Budget price around ?7K stg I guess.
