Walt Soplata Aircraft List

Hello all,

There were a number of posts in the last month or so regarding aircraft that are/were in the collection of Walter Soplata. Some people contributed lists, including Steve Tournay and maybe Jim Bates (I never trust my memory). I also checked my "notes" data base and found a number of entries for Soplata. On top of all these sources the search engine for Joe Baughers site came up with a number of entries for "Soplata" in the USAF and USN lists.

So when faced with all this info about one topic, what does a serial number guy like me do? Combine them all into one list of course! And so I did. Scott has been quite helpful and has created a downloads section for us where you can pick up a copy of the list. Just go to the WIX Gallery and pan down to the bottom of the page to find the Downloads section.

I would very much like any info you can contribute to the list. "What kind of info are you looking for Mike"? ...I hear you say. Well...
-> A physical description of the airframe including colour scheme, condition, how stored, etc.
-> Any missing c/r history info or other serials.
-> Where Walt obtained the airframe.
-> Current location if not with Walt.
-> Maybe even arrival and departure dates with regard to Walts farm.

If you have any info to contribute, please post your comments here or email me, and I will incorporate any new info into the list and ask Scott to re-post the list.

Don't assume this info is 100% correct. Most of this info is obtained from various sources, and typos may be involved. I also don't know if the original info involved reading data of a manufacturer's data plate.

I am looking forward to any information you may have, and hopefully you find the list useful.
