"One of the original DDL (Danish) Fw 200 bought before the war was used by Denmark on traffic between Copenhaguen and Berlin. During the last month of 1945 the danes choosed to land it at Torslanda/Gothenbourg and to simulate technical malmfunction to ensure its survival so that it could be used after the war by the danes. If I remember correctly it flew for a couple of years before having a landing accident and was scrapped in the -40's."
That must be OY-DEM "Jutlandia" (c/n 2993, registered 19.11.38) which crashed on 09.04.46 in Northolt and was scrapped there. The other DDL Condor (OY-DAM) was seized in England on 09.04.40 and re-registered G-AGAY. Your story about the landing in Sweden is however new to me; would be interested in more info on this (particularly the date). If I recall correctly, DDL was offered captured Condors and refused them due to antipathy towards German equipment and worries about future spare parts supplies. The Condor was not very popular with DDL crews anyway, they regarded as being old fashioned in comparison with the DC-3.
Going to the Hahnweide show this weekend, Mikael; TWO Bf 108 in the flying programme on Saturday (D-EBEI and OY-AIH) and I am bringing your list...!
