Dear friends,
Roger Soupart started some discussion (Aug. 7) about a German WW2 TwoSeater still existing in the Rotterdam area. His message was like this :

Some time ago, a fuselage(at least)of a 2seat, single engine , aircraft in German markings was located in the Rotterdam aerea. It is located indoors, together with other hardware as severall HD motorbikes and a Kettenrad. Those who saw it were only interested in the bikes and know nothing of aircraft, so 2seater/German markings is all the info I have. Current owner, well in his 80ties, refuses to sell anything, however his children, knowing the value, will sell as soon as they get ownership. Goods are believed to have been here for the 40ties. Anybody heard this story, and can get more info? My belief is that the owner is a former scrapdealer. Are there any scrapyards known in this aerea? BW Roger
The "Dutch Wrecks and Relics 1976" issue mentiions on page 21, a Mr. J. Eshuis, living in Amstelveen having two unidentified Bu181 Bestmanns, of which one was reported brandnew and still crated. Could this be the German TwoSeater ? Or is there someone who can tell where those Bestmanns went ?
Regards,
Benno
