As normal, the follow ups are first class information.

With this being fresh deep water wreaks, I think we still have ten good years plus to recover these rare birds, hopefully the navy will wake up and smell the roses or maybe the U.S goverment will step in and start over ruling some of the Navy's stances.

Will

: Taras Lysennko of A&T Recoveries spent an extensive amount
: of time researching and recovering the wrecks of Lake Mic
: higan. His list of confirmed aircraft types located in th
: e lake includes the following types:
:
:
: TBF
: TBM
: SBD-1
: SBD-5
: FM & F4F
: SB2U
: F4U
: F6F
: SNJ
:
: Quite an impressive list! Note that the oldest known inta
: ct Corsair on Earth is one of the planes resting on the bo
: ttom. The US Navy in true form has managed (again) to let
: the red tape pile up on this recovery - and so it sits.
:
: I'm guessing that quite a few of the planes in the lake ma
: y be SNJ's since these were the types most likely to be fl
: own by novice pilots during carrier trials.
